The Waco Art Center is a not-for-profit museum that provides the community with quality visual art exhibits and educational art programs for all ages, including children and adults. Creative Waco is the local art agency for Waco and McLennan County, Texas. Its mission is to cultivate and sustain a vibrant cultural and creative environment in the area. To achieve this, Creative Waco collaborates with the City of Waco, McLennan County, community partners, and stakeholders to facilitate public art projects that promote the Waco Cultural Plan.
The Art Center Waco is committed to providing equitable access to art education for the entire McLennan County community and beyond. To this end, they have established a grant program to support innovative, high-impact projects of nonprofit arts organizations in Waco and McLennan County. Moreover, they pay special attention to artists from historically underserved communities. Creative Waco has accomplished all of its phase 1 objectives on time and on budget.
